In His Praise — May 5, 2024

God’s word has much for us. Whatever your need or  circumstance, you can find scripture to help you. Here are just a few examples of the wisdom found in the Bible.

If you are seeking :

Peace:

Psalm 29:11 — “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”

John 14:27 —“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Courage or Encouragement:

Psalm 31:24 — “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”

Romans 8:37 — “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that nothing in creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Paraphrased)

Comfort:

Nahum 1:7 — “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”

Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Joy:

Isaiah 51:11b — “They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”

John 15:11 — “”I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

Guidance:

Psalm 48:14 — “For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.” 

Proverbs 3:6 — “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Salvation:

John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 10:9 — “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
