“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

Isaiah 40:29

How grateful we all should be for  God’s care for us and His help from day by day. These words from Isaiah remind us  of that very thing.

We all have times when we feel inadequate and weak. We become tired and weary. We may feel discouraged when the devil whispers to us that we are not smart enough, not talented enough, or not worthy enough. We may feel as though we’re not accomplishing anything for our Savior!

But chapter 40 of the book of Isaiah reassures us that the opposite is true. First of all, God reminds us in verse 28 that He NEVER grows tired or weary. He ALWAYS has our back (so to speak). Verses 30 and 31 go on to say that “even youths grow tired and weary and young people  stumble and fall.”  But the good news is that when we place our hope and trust in the Lord, He will renew our strength.”

What a wonderful message! We don’t have to rely on our own stamina, we don’t have to hope that we can accomplish our tasks, we don’t have to struggle through and then finish  half-way. We simply have to place our trust in the Lord and HE will renew our strength, He will cause us to soar like eagles, HE will help us to run and walk and not become weary or weak.

What a great God we have that loves us so much! Our God is always there to pick us up, encourage us, refresh us and give us the strength we need to continue on in the tasks He has given us.

Thank you, Heavenly Father.
