“The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.” Psalm 145:13b
This verse should fill our hearts with praise and thankfulness. It should make us overflow with joy to know that we serve such a God as this. One whose word is full of real promises for us. Promises that are true. Promises that will never change or go away, for God never changes His mind or takes back His word. We can depend on God to do whatever He has said He will do.
The second half of this verse is just as reassuring as the first part. It reminds us that God is loving to all he has made. That’s us! We are God’s creation and although we sin and do not always please Him, God always loves us. What a kind and compassionate Father we serve!
So as we read the scriptures and find these wonderful promises from our Lord, remember the words from Psalm 145.
God is faithful —you can believe Him, and you can depend on Him.
God is loving —His love for us and goodness toward us never ends.
