Good news!! God keeps His promises!! His word is true, trustworthy and unchangeable! You can depend on it to be right all the time.
Speaking of Abraham’s faith Paul says this, “Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.” Romans4:20-21. You see God had promised Abraham that he would be the father of many descendants. This might not seem like a big thing to some, but it was a very big thing for Abraham and his wife Sarah. God had made this promise to Abraham while he and Sarah were still young and in the childbearing years, but as time went on, Sarah did not have any children. In fact she was around 90 years old and Abraham was about 100 when they finally did have a child, Isaac. Although in the human mind it seemed all but impossible for them to have an offspring, Abraham continued to believe that God’s promise was true and trustworthy and that He would never change His mind and take it back.
What does this have to do with us today? We, like Abraham, can still trust the Word of God. It is still true, trustworthy and unchangeable. When we read our Bible and hear a promise from God we can know for sure that it is real. We, just like Abraham, must be faithful and believe that what God has promised He will do.
If we are in a seemingly impossible situation, read Luke 1:37, and BELIEVE IT!
If we think our old way of life can never change, read 2 Corinthians 5:17, and BELIEVE IT!
If danger is near, run to God and read Psalm 91:1-2 and BELIEVE IT!
If we think that we have sinned too much for God to forgive us, read John 3:16, Acts 16:31 or Titus 2:11-12 and BELIEVE IT!
God is so good and wants all the best for you and me. Just believe Him.
