Change is something we all have been learning a lot about over the last few months. Change can be hard sometimes, but change can also be a means for growth.
For example, because of the changes that have taken place in our community since Covid-19 entered our lives, East Point CP Church has had to rethink the way we worship together. Our goal at East Point, as any church should be, has always been to spread God’s gospel to others. We want to reach as many people as possible with the good news of Christ’s salvation.
We were doing things to reach these goals, but because of the “stay at home” order, God has lead Rev. Nickles and our church to another avenue for spreading the gospel— social media. Rev. Phil Nickles’ sermons can now be seen and heard on the church’s webpage or Facebook page. We hope to continue and to expand this ministry even after this pandemic is over so that more and more people will be touched by God’s love and turn their lives over to Him.
The good news we share today is Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those that love him.” We might think of our situation now as a crisis, a roadblock , a hindrance in our worship experience, but God has made it into something good. God loves each of us and even through this “change” in our lives He is using His people to spread the gospel and reach the lost.
Thanks be to God!
