Have you noticed that everybody is the world is different? Of course you have, it is a silly question. There are male and female, young and old, short and tall, thin and not so thin. There are also people of different races and ethnic backgrounds, different cultures and languages. We have different personalities, talents and abilities; and may have different opinions and that’s ok. God has made each person uniquely different and special. Psalm 139:14 praises Him for this very special blessing when it reads, “… I am fearfully and wonderfully made”.
Even though we are each created differently, it is wonderful to know that God loves us all the same and sent Jesus to be the Savior for all people. We are reminded of this in John 3:16, 1 John 2:2, 2 Corinthians 5:15, and Hebrews 10:10. If Jesus sees us as unique and special enough to give His life for, we should also look at our brothers and sisters in Christ with this same love and appreciation.
We read too in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 that Christians make up the body of Christ and just like our human body, each part has a different purpose. A hand cannot do what an eye does, but it is still an important part of the body. So it is with the family of God. We each have a unique and special job to do. Each one is important in the work of the church and each one is important to God.
God in His infinite love and knowledge has created a varied and special human race. He loves you just as you are and has given each person abilities and talents to use for His glory.
