Psalm 145:13
We hear and see so much sin in today’s world and we sometimes think that no one knows God anymore. We worry about our children and grandchildren growing up in such a world. We are concerned that the evil that seems to be everywhere will affect our loved ones in terrible ways.
But encouraging words are found in Psalm 145:13. There is hope in our Mighty God. His power is for eternity and His love is for all generations. He alone has dominion over this world and the next. God alone can deliver us from the evil that tries to overtake our lives.
Christians are instructed to “put on the whole armor of God” in order to stand against the devil. (Ephesians 6:10-18) We are also reassured in 1 John 4:4 that the One that is in us is greater than the one that is in the world. Finally, Revelation 20:10 speaks of the end of the devil and evil when they are thrown into a lake of burning sulfur to be tormented forever.
If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, our future is secure. He is with us in this life and will take us safely into the next life to spend eternity with Him. As a child of God though, we must share this message with others. God’s love is for everyone, through all generations. We must be His light in this world!
